Dr. Trevor Parry-Giles is a professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland and the former Executive Director of the National Communication Association. His scholarship on American political culture includes the award-winning Constructing Clinton: Hyperreality and Presidential Image-Making in Postmodern Politics and The Character of Justice: Rhetoric, Law, and Politics in the Supreme Court Confirmation Process. As Executive Director of the NCA, he has supported the organization’s conferences in China, including delivering a keynote address at the NCA-CUC event in 2018 in Beijing and running a workshop on international education at The Shenzhen Forum in 2019.
