Patrick Shaou-Whea Dodge, Ph.D.

Patrick is a past Associate Program Chair at the International College of Beijing (ICB) and a member of the NCA’s Task Force on Fostering International Collaborations in the Age of Globalization. In 2016 & 2018, he led a collaboration between NCA and the Communication University of China (CUC) for the CUC-NCA conference in Beijing on “Communication, Media, and Governance.” Residing in Beijing since 2007, his teaching focuses on Chinese culture, communication, and Sino-U.S. communication and facilitates guanxi (关系) within China. His current book, an edited collection, Communication Convergence in Contemporary China: International Perspectives on Politics, Platforms, and Participation.
